Winter Haven, Florida-- Winter Haven Police have made new developments in an ongoing death investigation.
The investigation began Tuesday morning after a survey crew working along the 900 block of Cypress Gardens Boulevard, the former Solcum Gardens, discovered a man's body in a reported homeless camp.
Reports sent Wednesday evening say the Polk County Medical Examiner performed an autopsy, and did not find any trauma or evidence of foul play. Results from toxicology tests taken will confirm the man's pending cause of death.
Police say they have tentatively identified the man, but positive identification is pending latent fingerprint results. They also say they have not made contact with the man's next of kin.
