Polk Sheriff's detectives are searching for 44-year-old Samuel Castro, who they say has been missing from Frostproof, Florida since February.
Frotproof, Florida-- Polk Sheriff's detectives are searching for a man who they say has been missing since February.
According to reports, 44-year-old Samuel Castro's landlord, Anaya Lucio, reported him missing on February 27, saying Castro was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 18.
Nothing seemed suspicious when detectives first visited Castro's home off Thompson Ave., but a deeper look has since lead them to think otherwise.
According to detectives, Castro's roommates, and several of his friends have said his disappearance is unusual behavior for him. They described him as a heavy drinker, but also said he is quiet and non-confrontational, says the report.
Detectives also learned that Castro goes by many names, including "Samuel Cuarto" and "Samuel Mascareno", and fits this description:
- Dark brown eyes
- Black hair
- Approximately 5'9"
- Approximately 140 pounds
