Polk County, Florida -- The hunt is over for the man wanted for allegedly shooting his girlfriend multiple times in the head on April 16.
U.S. Marshals arrested 44-year-old Randall Scott Miller in Carrollton, Georgia, where he is being held at the Jack T. Bell Detention Center in Carroll County about 50 miles west of downtown Atlanta where he will await extradition back to Polk County.
Polk Sheriff's deputies say Miller shot his 52-year-old girlfriend Micki Pickern three times around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night in the area of Lake Van Road and CCR 559 in Auburndale.
Pickern suffered gunshot wounds to the back of the head, the side of the head, in the face. She miraculously survived and is in stable condition at a local hospital.
