Clearwater, FLorida -- Clearwater Police are investigating a collision between a Pinellas County school bus and a car.
At 8:23 a.m. on Friday, the school bus traveling west on Palmetto, and the car, traveling south on Highland, collided. The front of the school bus struck the driver's side of the Chrysler LeBaron.
The driver of the car was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg via Bayflite for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. None of the four special-needs students who were on the bus were injured.
The students were on their way to Curlew Creek Elementary and after the accident they were put on another bus and taken to school.
Reportedly, the driver of the school bus, Rogenia Flower, ran the red light and hit Carolyn Brumfield's car. Brumfield is in stable condition with serious injuries.
