Tampa, Florida -- A fire initially thought to be at La Teresita Restaurant was actually at a nearby scooter store.
Tampa Fire Rescue crews responded to the La Teresita Supermercado Strip center on W. Columbus Drive to a structure fire at the Bayside Scooter store with heavy smoke and flames.
Fire officials say the fire originated in the back work area when a worker using welding equipment on a scooter ignited it's gasoline tank. The fire then intensified and spread to multiple other scooters.

Officials say the fire was contained to the scooter store and did not spread to neighboring La Teresita Grocery and Alberto's Barber Styling. However, the barber shop did suffer some smoke damage.
After about 30 minutes, the 60 firefighters who responded were able to put the fire out.
