Tampa, Florida -- Today around a thousand runners were pounding the pavement on the brand new connector between Interstate 4 and the Selmon Expressway.
At a cost of $425 million, the connector will significantly improve the movement of people and goods throughout Tampa Bay.
Juli Lewis said, "It was really neat running this race ... Beautiful views. It was pretty tough. It was a lot of uphill. But with a cheering section like this, how can you not finish it and have a good time? It was great."
The I-4 Connector is expected to open to traffic next week.
