Authorities arrest man after SWAT situation

Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and Kenneth City Police Department responded to an armed, barricaded subject who threatened the lives of his roommates.

According to reports, the two victims came to Kenneth City PD on Saturday evening to report that their roommate, Justin Peters, was intoxicated and arguing with them. At one point during the argument, Peters produced a shot gun and threatened to kill them.

Kenneth City Police Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and due to the dangerous situation the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Swat and Negotiating Team responded as well.

Communication with Peters went on throughout the early morning hours.

The swat team made entry into the suspect's home around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. They apprehended him without incident. Peters was taken to the Pinellas County Jail where he was booked in for two counts of Aggravated Assault with a firearm and Felon in possession of a firearm.
