Pinellas County, Florida -- The bay pines VA hospital officially has a new name in honor of a late congressman who had a major impact on the bay area.
Dozens attended the ceremony this morning at the newly named C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center.
Young died on October 18 after serving 42 years in the U.S. Congress. Last November President Obama signed a law officially changing the name of the facility in Young's honor.
The building is named after Young in honor of his work on behalf of Veterans and their families during his 22 terms as a member of Congress.
