Bucs name coaching staff

Tampa, Florida -- With Lovie Smith's coordinators already in place with Jeff Tedford running the offense and Leslie Frazier taking over the defense, the Buccaneers have named the rest of their coaching staff Thursday.

Quarterbacks Coach: Marcus Arroyo spent 2013 as the offensive coordinator at the University of Southern Mississippi. He brings 10 years of coaching experience involving stops at the University of California, University of Wyoming and Prairie View A&M.

Linebackers Coach: Hardy Nickerson is a familiar name in Bucs franchise history will be in charge of the linebackers. Former pro-bowl linebacker himself, Hardy Nickerson takes over the Linebacker Coach role. Nickerson 4 of 15 seasons as a player in the NFL under then linebacker coach turned current Bucs' head coach Lovie Smith from 1996-1999.

Offensive Line Coach: Joe Cullen has been named the defensive line coach, after spending last season with the Cleveland Browns. Cullen brings 16 seasons of collegiate coaching experience to Tampa Bay. While in Cleveland he turned the Browns in to one of the top 10 defensive lines in the league.

Wide Receivers Coach: Andrew Hayes-Stoker has been named wide receivers coach. Hayes-Stoker worked on Smith's staff over 7 seasons in Chicago, in capacities as football operations and offensive assistant.

Sr. Defensive Assistant: Larry Marmie has four decades of coaching experience but hasn't coached in the league since 2008 with the Seattle Seahawks. Marmie was a defensive backs coach with the UFL's Las Vegas Locomotives from 2009-2012.

Special Teams Coordinator: Kevin O'Dea served as a special teams assistant with Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. He coached for 4 seasons on Smith's staff with Bears.

Strength and Conditioning Coach: Dave Kennedy spent six years at Texas A&M in the same role and capacity. Seeing the Aggies through the transition in to the SEC. During Kennedy's time in College Station, the Aggies were consistantly in the Top 25 in the country.

Safties Coach: Mikal Smith comes to the Buccaneers from the Dallas Cowboys, where he was a nickelback coach. Before spending 2013 in Dallas, Smith was the defensive quality control coach with the Bears from 2010-2011, and the defensive assistant in 2012.

Running Backs Coach: Tim Spencer takes over the role left open from Ernest Byner. He will have some big shoes to fill after the job Byner did with the Pewter and Reds' backfield. Spencer was on Smith's staff in Chicago for the whole 9 year coaching tenure.
