Ocala, Florida -- Police say the owner of an Ocala pool and spa business attacked and stabbed one of his employees.
Investigators say the incident stemmed from an argument between James Self and his boss, Anthony Manno at Anthony's Pool and Spa on Wednesday afternoon.
A witness reported that during the argument, Manno attacked the victim. The witness tried stopping the fight and Self ran out of the business. Manno reportedly chased after him into the parking lot, where he knocked Self down down and started beating him with kicks and punches. During the fight, Self suffered cuts on his neck and hands from an unknown object.
Self was eventually able to break away from Manno, and ran for help at a nearby Bealls department store. Manno reportedly fled the scene in his vehicle.
The victim was flown to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol eventually located Manno and he was taken into custody.
Ocala Police say Manno will be charged with attempted homicide due to the nature of the victim's injuries and the extreme violence of the assault.
