St. Petersburg, FL -- St. Petersburg Police officers arrested a man they caught dealing marijuana to a student at his apartment Thursday.
Detectives say they received information 61-year-old Lemon Lane was dealing marijuana to students of Boca Ciega High School during their lunch breaks.
On Thursday morning, officers staked out Lane's apartment on Fairfield Drive, a little less than a mile from the school's campus, and around 11:15 a.m. a student walked up and met with Lane.
After leaving the area, the student was detained by officers who found a small amount of marijuana on him. Police say he admitted it came from Lane.
Back at the apartment, Lane resisted arresting officers and was subsequently tased so he could be handcuffed. Officers found a small amount of marijuana in his apartment packaged for sale.
Lane was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Sale & Possession of a Controlled Substance within 1000 ft. of a school and Resisting Arrest with Violence.
The student was charged with misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.
