Tampa, Florida -- It appears a local rapper's music career will remain on hold after he was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison Thursday for drug trafficking.
During a search of his home on Oct. 10, 2010, deputies found Demetrius Floyd -- who goes under the stage name "Money-Clipz" -- in his bedroom with more than 300 grams of crack cocaine along with sandwich bags, a digital scale, and a razor blade. Floyd's DNA was also found on packaging that contained 33 grams of crack cocaine.
A federal jury found Floyd, 34, guilty on June 6, 2012.
During his sentencing, the Court also ordered Floyd to serve an 8-year term of supervised release at the end of his prison term.
