Clearwater, Florida -- On Tuesday, Clearwater Police detectives charged a man with the murder of another in 2007.
During the course of the five-year investigation, detectives were able to link 26-year-old Justin D'Patrick Taylor with the murder of Corey Bernard Brown through DNA that linked him to evidence at the scene.
Interviews with numerous people also provided the information needed to charge Taylor with the murder.
Detectives say Taylor shot and killed Brown, who was 33 at the time of his death, at Brown's home on Maple Street.
Taylor is currently an inmate at the Pinellas County Jail for several charges including Armed Robbery, Armed Burglary and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Taylor now faces a 2nd Degree Murder charge.
