Bradenton, Florida -- Two men on a burglary spree in Bradenton are behind bars Wednesday.
On July 24, Manatee Sheriff's deputies were notified of two burglaries that occurred minutes apart at homes in the northwest area of the city in the 1600 block of 71st Street NW and the 7700 block of 20th Avenue NW.
Luckily, both homes which were vacant at the time had alarm systems notifying police of the break-ins and scared the men off.
A witness told deputies the burglars were driving around in a white work van posing as construction workers.
Around 1 p.m., that same day a third burglary occurred in the 4900 block of 52nd Avenue W was called in by a woman who said two men banged on her front door and then walked around to the back of the home and broke in through the pool cage. When they saw her inside, they ran.
She gave deputies a description of the men and the vehicle they were driving and Thomas Barrett, 23, and Chancey Williams, 19, were caught soon after.
