Gulfport, Florida -- Police arrested a Pinellas County school district IT technician this week after discovering she pawned two iPads and a laptop that belonged to the district.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Angeleta Washington, pawned computers that were assigned to Boca Ciega High School and Gulfport Elementary. Washington actually reported to police that someone had stolen property that belonged to her according to Gulfport police Sgt. Tom Woodman.
"In the course of the investigation we discovered she herself had pawned these items that belonged to the school," Woodman said.
Washington was arrested Thursday on several charges of grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
She was released from the Pinellas County Jail on Friday in lieu of $36,000 bail, records show.
