Pasco County, Florida -- A 70-year-old man has been charged with cruelty to animals after he shot a woman's rooster.
According to reports, witnesses say Kenneth Cubernot walked over to a woman's property, stood right outsider her fence and shot the rooster with a rifle. Cubernot then left the area in a pickup truck. The rooster was shot in the neck and appeared to be suffering.
Detectives made contact with Cubernot who stated he had made a previous agreements with the owner that he could shoot the rooster for being a nuisance. He said he had no intentions of making the rooster suffer and would have stopped the rooster's suffering if he had not been run off by the witness who made the report.
Cubernot was charged with cruelty to animals and improper exhibition of a firearm.
