Innocent bystander shot in the leg

Tampa, Florida - A 27-year-old woman was shot and injured outside a duplex where she was attending a family gathering.

It happened about 6:37 p.m. at the duplex at 2122 131st Avenue. The woman had been hit with a gunshot in the lower right leg.  She was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in stable condition.

Investigtors believe the gunshot may have come from a silver Ford sedan that was seen cruising the area at the time, and someone inside the vehicle may have fired at someone walking near the duplex.

There are no suspects in the shooting at this time and detectives are at the scene.
