Ragusa in court today

Tampa, Florida - The former Davidsen Middle School teacher accused of having sex with her students was back in court today.

Stephanie Ragusa appeared last Friday, but her attorney was late and the hearing was rescheduled for today.

A judge this morning ordered Ragusa turn over a handwriting sample to state prosecutors.

It’s unclear why the request was made, but it may be related to a letter the 29-year old teacher wrote to 17-year-old Nick Bollea, jailed in another high profile case on reckless driving charges.

Bollea is the son of wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan but is also a minor.

The state made a second request to prohibit Ragusa from having direct contact with minors. That request was denied by Circuit Judge Rogers Padgett.
