FEMA opens up Pinellas recovery center for Hermine victims

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. -- Residents affected by Hurricane Hermine can have their questions answered at a "one stop shop" for federal assistance and recovery information.

The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the St. Petersburg College Epicenter located at 13805 58th Street North in Clearwater.

Residents who have inquiries about their relief options can meet representatives from FEMA, the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM), the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and other state agencies.

To register for aid, FEMA asks that residents apply online at the following link: www.disasterassistance.govthrough the FEMA app or by calling toll-free 800-621-FEMA (3362).

FEMA suggests that Hermine victims apply as soon as possible, however it is not necessary to visit the disaster recovery center prior to registration.
