Fla. woman sexually assaulted 14-year-old, gave birth 9 months later, say police

A 30-year-old Florida woman is facing child sex charges after she allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old, according to law enforcement.

Tracie Casler, 29 at the time of the alleged incident, had sex with the teenage victim after a Halloween party in 2016, according to a report filed by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

In July of this year, Casler gave birth to a child, according to the report. Florida Department of Children and Families completed a DNA test on the child in September and released those results to SRSO, but the results of that test are redacted in the report.

When SRSO investigators spoke with the victim at Escambia High School in October this year, he said he went to a Halloween party but ended up at Casler’s house afterward. He said he was “messed up” and went into her room, and he told police he was the one who instigated the contact. He said it was the only time he and Casler had sex. The report does not outline the relationship between the two.

Casler has been charged with one count of lewd and lascivious battery – victim aged 12 to 16, a second-degree felony. She was booked into Santa Rosa County Jail on Nov. 9, on a $30,000 bond. Jail records show Casler is still in custody.
