Guests attempt to climb Disney World's Tree of Life

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Guests who attempted to get a little too close to the action at Walt Disney World received a stern talking to from Mickey Mouse's security team over the weekend.

People waiting in line Sunday for the "It's Tough to Be a Bug" attraction at the Animal Kingdom were startled to see four men climbing up the Tree of Life.

The 145-foot tall artificial tree is the centerpiece of the wildlife theme park and is covered with the etchings of more than 300 animals.

The "It's Tough to Be a Bug" movie is shown inside a theater at the base of the tree.

WDW News Today reports the men made it about a third of the way up the Tree of Life before park security showed up and apprehended the men, taking them away to an undisclosed location.

It is not known what punishment, if any, the men received or if they were banned from Walt Disney World.
