Police: Two missing after corrections officer's home ransacked

A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old boy who may be traveling with a woman.

Logan Mott, 15, was last seen in the area of the 400 block of Seagate Avenue in Neptune Beach.

He is 5 feet 9 inches tall, 120 pounds, and has blonde hair and brown eyes.

He may be in the company of his grandmother, Kristina French, 53 years old, who is 5 feet 4 inches tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

They may be traveling in a 2015 silver Dodge Dart, Florida tag number DLLT42.

First Coast News reports Logan's mother said she received a text from her ex-husband, Logan's father, saying that their home had been ransacked and the guns in the house had been taken. She also said Logan and his grandmother were supposed to pick his father and his girlfriend up from the airport but they did not do so. The father tried calling them several times with no answer.

Logan Mott is a 9th grader at Sandalwood High School and is insulin-dependent, and it's unclear when he last had insulin.

Logan's mother said Logan's father is a corrections officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact JSO.

When located, do not approach them, but contact law enforcement.

If you have any information, contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at (904) 630-0500 or 911.
