Body of missing Florida girl found, missing child alert canceled

Update on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017: PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — The body of a missing 4-year-old girl has been found, Port St. Lucie police announced.

Chelsea Noel, who had been missing for more than 24 hours, was found around 1 a.m. Monday in a lake on the intersection of Hallmark Street and Abacus Avenue.

Noel, who is autistic and nonverbal, ran out of her home on Southwest Keats Street near Southwest Becker Road Saturday night.

Authorities found Noel’s body in a lake near her home. They do not suspect foul play.

Original Story on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017: PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing child alert for a 4-year-old Port St. Lucie girl early Sunday morning.

Chelsea Noel is non-verbal and was last seen on Southwest Keats Street near Southwest Aachen Avenue, according to the FDLE. 

She was last seen wearing a long pink nightgown dress with the word “princess” on it.

Noel has short braids and a birthmark from her neck to her chest, according to the FDLE.

Anyone with information on Noel’s whereabouts is asked to call the Port St Lucie Police Department at (772)871-5000 or call 911.
