A few years ago, FloridaKeysTV got permission from wildlife authorities to set up an infrared video camera behind a turtle nest on Big Pine Key. The eggs hatched and this video shows the tiny turtles crawling out and headed to the water. The folks at save-a-turtle.org work hard to protect turtle nests during nesting season which is typically from mid-April through October.
