Universal hiring 1,700 workers for Volcano Bay

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Universal Orlando Resort is holding several job fairs to fill 1,700 full- and part-time positions -- including 400 lifeguards-- at the new Volcano Bay theme park.

Jobs are available in many areas including culinary, food services, security, lifeguards, custodial, parking and transportation, ticket sales and turnstiles.

 A job fair to fill 400 positions for lifeguards is scheduled for Saturday., Jan. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Universal’s HR office.

The 30-acre Volcano Bay will offer a multidirectional wave pool with sandy beaches, a winding river, twisting multirider raft rides, speeding body slides that drop from the top of the volcano into the waters below.
