Gibbs media students get to interview Rays' Maddon

St. Petersburg, Florida-- Joe Maddon is busy this time of year.

Extremely busy.

The Rays' manager is in the thick of springs training, has crucial decisions to make with opening day of the 2014 regular season baring down on his Tampa Bay team and yet, somehow, Maddon found a way to carve time out of his hectic schedule to go back to school Tuesday.

Gibbs High School journalism students got to Skype with Maddon Tuesday morning from their classroom in St. Petersburg. A room of 20 students gazed into a computer screen right into Maddon's office at the Rays' Port Charlotte complex to bounce questions off the Rays' skipper.

Students asked questions on many different topics including Maddon's daily routine during the season, his adventures in his newly purchased RV and what he'd do if he weren't managing a team that many in baseball circles consider to be a favorite to make it to the World Series.
