Girl's family relieved by 'no bond' ruling

Tampa, Florida —There have been new developments in Felecia Williams' murder investigation.

The man Temple Terrace police say is involved in Felecia's daughter's death could have been released from jail Thursday.

Felecia's mother, Felecia Demerson, says the right ruling came down. She and her older daughter, Shakeila Givens, said they are relieved.

35-year-old Granville Ritchie is headed back to Hillsborough County Jail on drug and sex charges after this Thursday's hearing after waiting in court to see if he would be released on bond.

Demerson watched stoically, glancing in the direction of the man suspected in her daughter's death. Ritchie has not been charged by Temple Terrace police in that case, but after the court ruling of no bond, Demerson says she's relieved.

"I'm glad that the judge did make the right decision to keep him behind bars," Demerson said.

"We are still missing so much information and we just want whoever did this to come forward so we can have justice for our little girl," said Givens.

Even though Givens is little Felecia's older sister she calls her, her baby. She also urged anyone with information about her daughter's death to call the Temple Terrace Police Department tip line at (813) 989-7110. A total of $13,000 is being offered by Crime Stoppers of Tampa and the FBI.

"Because I need justice for my daughter," Demerson said.
