Bomb threat reported at Sebring High School

SEBRING, Fla. – The Highlands County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bomb threat at Sebring High School on Wednesday morning.

School administrators and law enforcement are working to resolve the situation.

The school’s staff has moved the students to the Highlands Today Center.

Parents with proper identification are able to pick up their students starting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the north gate of the Highlands News-Sun Center.

The high school received a suspicious fax about explosive devices, according to the Highlands County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office and school board have not found anything as of Wednesday morning.

Deputies helped evacuate the school.

Students who drive to the school will not be allowed to get to their cars until the all clear is given by law enforcement.
