Hillsborough Co. principal and teacher resign after child abuse accusation

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. -- The Coleman middle school principal and an assistant teacher at Plant High School have resigned from their positions following a child abuse accusation.

According to the Hillsborough County Public Schools, Mike Hoskinson, 53, and Kimberly Hoskinson, 49, resigned from their positions with the district Wednesday afternoon.

According to investigators, it started with an argument. They say Kimberly Hoskinson then pushed the victim and Michael Hoskinson punched the victim in the ribs twice.

The district will be appointing a new principal at Coleman Middle School following the Thanksgiving break.
