Temple Terrace, Florida – UPDATE: Granville Ashanti Ritchie was charged with unlawful sex act with a minor overnight. No word yet if this is connected to the Felecia Williams case.
The Temple Terrace Police announced that they have a suspect in the murder of a nine-year-old girl who was found dead near the Courtney Campbell Causeway last Saturday.
Granville Ashanti Ritchie was arrested by authorities in Pinellas County on drug related charges.
He has not been charged with the death of Felecia Williams, but police believe he had something to do with her death.
"Those who may have had a reluctance to come forward, come forward now because our suspect's currently incarcerated … this is the time," said Police Chief Ken Albano.
The chief held back details on Ritchie's connection to the victim's family and why he is considered a suspect because the investigation is ongoing.
"Anyone who has information on my daughter's killer, will you please come forward?" said a teary-eyed Felecia Demerson.
Crime Stoppers has already offered up a $3,000 reward for information about the murder. Chief Albano announced during the press conference that the FBI would offer an additional $10,000 to the person who comes forward the critical information that could lead to a suspect's prosecution.
If you have information, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
