Homes, inn could be built on Biltmore hotel site

Belleair, Florida -- Tonight, the Belleair town commission voted to allow more residential building in the city of Belleair.

They also voted to look into the creation of a multi-use district on the site of the Belleview Biltmore Hotel that would include residences and a small inn.

"Tonight was just one of many necessary steps to make our vision a reality," said Ed Armstrong, an attorney for the owners of the Biltmore.

"This has all been orchestrated by the few people in town to get what they want," said Belleair resident Rae Claire Armstorng. "It's not in the best interest of the residents by in large."

The "mixed use" zoning comes up for discussion again on May 20th.
