Indiana teen pulled under by rip current leaves hospital

Sarasota, Florida -- The Indiana University football player who was pulled under by a rip current on Monday has been discharged from the hospital.

19-year-old Isaac Griffith was swimming on Siesta Key when he was pulled under. His friend Mitchell McCune was able to drag Griffith ashore and give him CPR but Griffith was still put into a medically induced coma on Tuesday.

Griffith's family provided periodic updates through social media as Isaac made small improvements throughout the week.

Now Isaac and his family, who came down to Florida for Spring Break, can finally head home to Indiana.
