Man gets life sentence for fatal home invasion

CLEARWATER, Florida (AP) -- A Tampa Bay area man has been sentenced to life in prison for his part in a fatal home invasion.

A Pinellas County judge sentenced 33-year-old Christopher Roberson on Tuesday after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder.

Authorities say Roberson was one of four men who broke into a St. Petersburg home in June 2012 while pretending to be police officers. Prosecutors say the men demanded money and drugs from Richard Shaw before fatally shooting him.
