TAMPA - Detectives are looking for suspects after a man was shot and killed at a Tampa apartment complex.
Police responded to reports of shots being fired at the Tzadik Oaks Apartments on Saturday just before 3:30 p.m. When they arrived on scene they found Christoper K. Dexter Jr. suffering from "upper body trauma." Fire rescue and EMS responded to the scene and transported him to a local hospital where he died the next day.
In a press release, police say several witnesses have come forward to speak with detectives and at this time the shooting does not appear to be random. Detectives are still working to identify and locate the suspects responsible.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unidentified suspect(s) involved in this case. Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect(s) and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
