Missing Winter Haven man found safe

Winter Haven, Florida -- UPDATE: Winter Haven Police say 53-year-old Norman Franklin Reed, Jr. has been found safe. Police say he was found in the Wesley Chapel area and was not injured.

The Winter Haven Police Department is looking for a man who has severe depression and could be a danger to himself.

Norman Franklin Reed Jr. was last seen at 10 p.m. on August 14, at his Carlton Arms apartment. He told the neighbor that he had just returned from his father's funeral and indicated to his brother that he was depressed.

Reed could be driving his 2008 Dodge Ram Quad pickup truck, red in color, with a West Virginia tag # NMN417. The truck has a chrome push bar on the front and Polk County Fire Department stickers on the rear windows.

Anyone with information on Reed's whereabouts is asked to contact Sgt. Mitch Meadows at 863-401-2256.
