Pasco assesses Hermine damage, urges caution

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- Pasco County is urging residents and travelers to drive with caution following the damages from Hurricane Hermine. 

Pasco is not under mandatory evacuations. Citizens are encouraged to self-evacuate if safety concerns arise.

Pasco Emergency Management is advising caution specifically in the following areas: 

  • Moon Lake closed until further notice due to flood water.
  • Unidentified debris has been found in the Gulf of Mexico. Boaters need to cautious.
  • Flooding has been reported along the Anclote River, especially around Elfers.

A self-service Pasco County sandbag location will be made available at the West Pasco Government location in New Port Richey.
