Pickup driver sought in crash with 13-year-old girl

Investigators are looking for the male driver of a Toyota Tacoma that struck a 13-year-old girl on her bicycle Thursday morning in St. Petersburg. The girl is hospitalized.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Julianna Minick was riding out of a driveway about 8:17 a.m. when she was struck by the truck on 28th Street South near Haines Road. She is in All Children's Hospital.

The driver of the Tacoma stopped briefly and then fled the scene south on 28th Street.

The truck was described as a black Tacoma with dark tinted windows, a lifted wheelbase, chrome bumpers and decals on the back window.
