Family holds memorial for murdered 9-year-old

Clearwater, Florida -- Dozens of family and friends of 9-year-old Felecia Williams arrived at the rocks and trees marked with red paint along the Courtney Campbell Causeway.

The red markings indicate where Clearwater police found Williams' nude and lifeless body washed up along the mangroves. Two fisherman reported her body there Sunday afternoon after she had been missing for 24 hours.

Family members brought flowers, balloons, and candles to the scene. They said a prayer for Williams.

"We know she is in a safe place in Heaven now," said Williams' older sister, Shakeila Givens.

Family members, including Givens, are wondering how someone could do this to Williams.

"Losing someone so precious is hard," said Williams' stepfather, Calvin Holder. "Thinking about what happened to her ... that's why I came out here." He said he needs answers -- and justice. "I pray and hope whoever did it finds peace with God ... God will judge him."

Family members and police tell 10 News Eboni Wiley picked up Williams from her home Friday afternoon and then disappeared with her for hours. Wiley finally told the family that Williams was missing.

Williams' family tells 10 News Wiley knows their mother and calls herself William's Godmother. Wiley was arrested Saturday afternoon for lying to police during their investigation. She bonded out of jail Sunday morning.

She works at a nursing home near where Williams' lived. The family tells 10 News Williams went over to Wiley's work often. William's' family said Wiley's employer told Wiley if Williams kept visiting Wiley, she would lose her job. This still does not explain why Wiley picked Williams up at her home on Friday afternoon.

Family members are demanding answers and want whoever did this to their Sugar Plum to come forward.

Givens said, "I wish it was over with. I am waiting for all of this to be over with..."

"Justice needs to be served," said Holder.
