Ruskin, Florida -- A man was killed in a Fourth of July boating accident.

The deceased operator of the 20 ft. vessel involved in the crash was 38-year-old Sean T. McCarthy.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission tells us the man was driving a 20-foot power boat on Little Manatee River, when he crashed into the mangroves.

Two other people on board were not injured.

The uninjured passengers on the vessel were 22-year-old, Yunisdel Miguel Perez Gonzalez and 22-year-old, Mariah Elizabeth Perez Gonzalez.

FWC says alcohol may have been a factor in this crash. They are taking the boat to their compound where they will examine it for more information.

Officials have not yet released the man's name. The accident investigation continues.
