Venice High reopens after bomb threat

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. -- Venice High School reopened after being evacuated Thursday afternoon due to a bomb threat made against the school Thursday afternoon. No device was found.

Students were taken to the school's football field as authorities search each building. All students have been accounted for, according to Venice Police Department.

The normal school release time will be delayed as buses are staged.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office bomb squad searched the area and did not find any suspicious devices.
