Third and final suspect arrested in stolen Polk bus case

POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- Three suspects are accused of stealing a county school bus and driving it to Avon Park in Highlands County.

*UPDATE: 36-year-old Kimberly Loeb has been arrested as the third and final suspect in the bus theft case. 

During the hours of 11:45 p.m. October 12 and 5:15 a.m. on October 13, three individuals allegedly stole the school bus from a parking lot behind the Fat Boys' Bar-B-Q restaurant at 15333 U.S. Highway 27 in Lake Wales.

The bus was discovered missing by the Polk County School Board driver when she arrived at the lot to begin her work shift.

The bus was located the next day in Avon Park by the Highlands County Sheriff's Office and was subsequently returned to Polk County.

To determine who was in the bus at the time of the theft, PCSO detectives searched video from the onboard camera which showed three suspects: Jayson Kalinowski, 33, of Lake Placid, David Keen, 31, of Sebring and Kim Loeb, 36 of Sebring.

All three suspects have been charged with or will face charges of Grand Theft Motor Vehicle and Burglary. Keen was also charged with a count of petty theft.
