Seminole Heights suspect's parents: 'We love our son'

Howell II and Rosita Donaldson say they are "heartbroken" after their son's arrest.

The parents of Howell Donaldson III, who is accused of killing four people in Seminole Heights, say they are heartbroken and devastated by his arrest.

Howell Donaldson II says he found out when his wife Rosita called him while he was at a basketball game with his younger son.

"We dropped everything and left," he said.

"We love our son," his mother said. "He's my baby. Me and Trai were very close."

They describe him as a social person who gets along with everybody whose passion is basketball.

They say they will support their son through this and want the victims' families to know their hearts are with them.

"We are praying for them in this time," Howell Donaldson II said.

Rosita Donaldson asked for their prayers in return.

"Because it's devastation on everybody. And we send our prayers and love towards them and their families."
