St. Pete march a response to Mike Brown shooting

St. Petersburg, Florida -- Protesters are saying enough is enough.

Dozens of men and women marched to the St. Petersburg Police department on Saturday, in response to a police shooting Mike Brown to death in Ferguson, Missouri and also for past officer-involved shootings of young, black men in St. Petersburg.

Marchers chanted slogans such as "No justice, no peace," and "Ferguson, St. Pete you can't hide, we charge you with genocide."

The walked straight down Central Avenue before stopping outside police headquarters, holding signs and banners.

Two weeks ago, Mike Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old was shot dead by a police officer in Missouri, sparking days of protests and clashes with police in the St. Louis suburb. The protests in Ferguson have become more peaceful in recent days, and have begun to spread to numerous cities across the country.
