Homosassa, Florida - A Citrus County teen has died after his dirt bike left the road and slammed into a row of mailboxes.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 17-year-old Cody Corbin was riding west on West Village Drive Saturday night when he traveled onto the shoulder of the roadway.
Corbin's 1986 Honda TR 200 hit a row of mailboxes and he was thrown from his dirt bike. He was pronounced dead at a Crystal Rivers hospital.
Corbin was not wearing a helmet, and investigators are trying to determine if alcohol was a factor.
