Tampa, Florida -- A serious accident brought rush hour traffic to a crawl, northbound on Interstate 275, leading into Tampa.
The Florida Highway Patrol says three vehicles crashed at 4 p.m., near the end of the Howard Frankland Bridge and just before the Tampa International Airport and Kennedy exits.

For a time, northbound traffic got by on only one lane. Traffic reopened to all lanes shortly before 5 p.m., but traffic is expected to be slow-going for a while, due to the heavy backup.
Rubbernecking is also slowing down traffic in the southbound lanes. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
There is no word yet on any injuries in the crash.
