The new playdate: Baby Loves Disco

Tampa, FL -- Parents wanting a break from the ordinary play dates checked out Baby Loves Disco over the weekend.

The Blue Martini Lounge in Tampa was transformed into a child-proof dance floor for toddlers.

The idea to turn hip night spots into a fun place for parents and kids is an international phenomenon that's just now hitting the Bay area.

"The Blue Martini has a lot of great elements that we thought would attract parents," says Baby Loves Disco Host Mom Marisa Langford. "It's a very popular mall for parents to come to with their children, lots of parking, very safe. It was a really good fit for what we wanted to do, bringing families together in the community."

Baby Loves Disco will now be a monthly event.
