Tampa, FL -- What if you had one minute to sell yourself in order to get a job. Could you do it?
Nearly two dozen students from the University of South Florida's College of Business are showing they've got what it takes.
They rode up and down elevators in the Regions Bank building this morning and practiced their job interview skills.
Hiring managers from some of the biggest companies around listened to the students.
"So, by actually coming out and doing the elevator competition, it kinda', like, tells you, 'Okay, well, if you had one minute to sell yourself, how would you do it?'" says Woodley Saint Juste, a USF Senior.
Dean Bob Forsythe says it's important to have good body language and to make a lasting impression in just a minute or two.
By the way, there was a $1,000 prize on the line for the student who did the best job. Carmen Perez won.
