San Antonio, Florida - FHP is investigating an accident that happened around 10:30p.m. Saturday at State Road 52 and Ehren Cut-Off Road in San Antonio.
A Dodge pick up truck driven by David Drake was traveling east on SR 52 and a Lincoln Town Car was traveling west.
The left front of the pick up truck clipped the Town Car. The truck caught on fire. Drake was ejected from the truck. He was taken by helicopter to Tampa General Hospital.
The driver of the Town Car, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
5 passengers from both cars were transported by helicopter to bay area hospitals.
