St. Petersburg, Florida - St. Petersburg Police are investigating a shooting where the victim was dropped off today at All Children's Hospital.
Police say an SUV pulled up outside the hospital and 21-year-old Christopher Danford got out, walked into the lobby, collapsed and died.
Investigators say it appears Danford was fatally injured during an earlier shootout near Silver Lake Park in the 1300 block of 11th Avenue South.
During the exchange of gunfire detectives believe Danford was standing outside the SUV when bullets hit him in the legs and upper torso.
Danford re-entered the SUV as passenger and ws driven to All Children's where he died.
Detectives say they are not sure of a motive for the shooting.
