We started before the sun came up Friday morning on Sand Key in Clearwater.
60 miles later, more than 1500 walkers, plus 350 volunteer crews, safety patrol and medical staff wrapped up the 2009 Tampa Bay Breast Cancer 3Day Sunday at Spa Beach in downtown St. Petersburg.
Each walker had to raise at least $2300 to take part in this event. Many of you made donations, supported the walkers or volunteer every step of the way.
The group raised almost 4 million dollars for the Komen for the Cure. The walk is held in a dozen cities around the country. Organizers say while the slow economy took a toll on other cities, Tampa Bay showed strong support.
We'd love for you to share why you walked, why you supported a 3Day walker or volunteered.
We invite you to upload your photos, check out our photo gallery and read Heather's BLOGS on 10connects.com.

Your words will help others learn more about this event (and WHY you would walk 60 miles in record heat).
